Reception

The reception refers to all the events following the ceremony. These moments may be held at a different venue or different room than the ceremony.

Below are a few of our favorite reception photos. Additional samples may be found further down this page.

Cocktail Hour

If post-ceremony portraits are planned, couples and their photographer will arrive to the cocktail hour after their guests. An opportunity for candids, guests mingle and glasses clink.

Grand Entrance

“Ladies and gentlemen, entering the room for the first time as husband and wife….
please give a warm welcome to our bride and groom!”

Toasts

A best man’s nod to the groom, a maid of honor’s teary-eyed smile at bride, a father’s sense of pride, and a mother’s radiant warmth. Through the lens, the beauty of these moments is seen and saved.

Cake Cutting

Though most slices wind up on a plate in front of guests, the first slice tends to wind up on the faces of the bride and groom, courtesy of one another.

Special Dances

“Please give a warm welcome to our newlyweds as they make their way to the dancefloor
for their first dance as husband and wife.”

First dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance are the most common popular dances. We’ve also accommodated a special dance for a bride and her son, step-father & daughter, and whatever other arrangements a wedding parties unique family calls for.

Dance Floor

“…and now we welcome everyone to the dance floor.”

After a day of drinking, these photos are the most exciting…and in some cases, inappropriate! We’ve excluded the latter in the gallery below, saving them for the couple and their close friends.

Extra hours may be arranged if our ‘up to 6 hour’ timeline is exceeded by the dancefloor.

Send Off

If planning a send-off, the videographer(s) and photographer(s) can be scheduled through the last minute of a wedding. Often guests are lined up on either side equipped with fiber optic wands, sparklers, or just good ol’ fashioned excitement. This lends to a symmetrical, cinematic exit.
