DJ Assistant / BTS Content
For many of our events, especially those booking add-on services (lights, photobooth, live musicianship, etc) we’ll often bring a DJ assistant to…
speed up load-in / load out and allow our DJs to be in 2 places at once when need be
capture behind the scenes content for our website / future vlogs etc
We are aware that some photographers include exclusivity clauses. Though our client contracts permit us to collect content, the client’s media is always priority.
Our content is rarely seen by clients or event attendees though used to demonstrate quality of service to new inquiries and educate upcoming clients with visual aids from previous events at their same venue.
There are handful of hidden pages within the Aisle Finesse website like this one you’re seeing now. Whenever we work with a new venue, collect content, and then receive a new inquiry for the same venue will often upload content to hidden page to show these clients our past experience.
Example: Our Evergreen Lake House & North Star Gatherings pages
We are slow to post on social media and there is no chance we will post before their hired artists! We usually get to editing our BTS during the off-season or when a new, relevant inquiry inspires us to do so.
As per our process…
We are often more active prior to guest arrival & during the dancefloor(after special dances etc).
We have little use for in depth content of the actual ceremony, toasts, etc.
Plainly, each client’s love story isn’t relevant to future clients interested in live musicianship or other services
We may set up camera(s) to film our musicians though if we do they’ll either be fairly close to our placement or across the room discreetly using a longer lense. Either way, our equipment will not be near the hired visual media artists’ target subjects.
We shoot a mix of photo & video though neither of which have the same goal as their hired visual media artists. We are not shooting to boost our video / photo portfolios but to show our team members in action.
We aim to stay in the shadows, shoot from a distance, and capture shots that give a sense of place to our DJ set ups in comparison to the flow of an event.
We won’t intentionally photograph / film other vendors except those we work with frequently or ask us to. If interested in raw files please let us know beforehand, happy to share!
We appreciate your hospitality as we build our brand & community one event at a time.
